We all remember the natural disasters of 2011 – the tornado and Hurricane Irene. Although the events may be a memory, the areas affected by the disasters are still feeling the impact. To help the recovery and revitalization efforts, Common Capital and the Scibelli Enterprise Center are pleased to announce a new 2011 Disaster Business Recovery Program designed specifically to assist businesses in the four county areas of Western MA impacted by these natural disasters. Made possible through a grant from the US Economic Development Agency, there is a new revolving loan fund available at Common Capital and a set of services provided by the Scibelli Enterprise Center available to existing businesses or property owners in the impacted areas to help them continue their recovery and grow their businesses. Businesses and properties directly impacted by the disasters have first priority, but the program is also available to growing businesses or new enterprises wishing to start and grow a business in the disaster designated counties. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

It’s our hope that these funds and services will encourage economic revitalization in the areas hardest hit by Mother Nature. Please pass this information on to companies or property owners you know of that can benefit from assistance and encourage them to contact us to get started.
